Ohio Drone Return & Refund Policy

 

Open Box Non-defective merchandise

At this time Ohio Drone does not accept returns of opened non-defective merchandise. Customers can cancel their order within 72 hours of order placement. Orders cancelled after the grace period may have a restocking fee applied. Larger bulk purchases or educational kits are subject to specific rules and are handled on a case-by-case basis. Please contact our Sales and Customer Support department for additional information. Custom drone orders and custom EZ-Swap orders are non-refundable and non-returnable unless specifically authorized prior to purchase. Any applicable fees for the return will be deducted from the refund amount prior to processing.

 

Defective merchandise

You can make a request for a return up to 30 days from the date of initial purchase, or 14 days after having received your order (begins 1 week after purchase and/or initial shipping from OHD facility) whichever occurs first. The product and product packaging must be in original condition upon receipt. Ohio Drone reserves the right to apply a repair or replacement fee to any returns received where the product and packaging  are not in original condition. Ohio Drone LLC reserves the right to apply a restocking fee to any returns. Ohio Drone LLC reserves the right to refuse or dispute the return for a partial refund if any broken or damaged assemblies or sub-components are received. Large and/or bulk purchases or educational kits are subject to specific rules and regulations and are handled on a case-by-case basis, please contact our Sales and Customer Support department for additional information. Custom EZ-Swap orders are non-refundable and non-returnable unless specifically authorized prior to purchase. Any applicable fees for the return will be deducted from the refund prior to processing.

Return Process

Before shipping any returns to Ohio Drone, you must first contact Sales or Customer Service to receive a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) Form. You may be required to provide proof of purchase, and/or photos of defective product.  Please follow and fill out the RMA form in its entirety to ensure prompt processing of your request.  Items that are mailed to Ohio Drone without prior approval may be refused and returned to sender. Please ensure all labels and stickers are properly filled out before shipping or returning any items, to ensure prompt processing of the return.

 

Do I have to pay for shipping to return defective merchandise?

   

Ohio Drone covers the return shipping cost of (non-promotional and/or non-custom) returned products that are found to be defective and fall within the 30-day initial purchase or the 14-day post delivery grace period.   Ohio Drone reserves the right to choose the best method of transport / shipping for returned items.  The customer may request expedited shipping but is responsible for any upcharges or increased shipping costs. Any refunds will not be processed until the return is received and the merchandise is reviewed.

Ohio Drone does not cover the return shipping cost of products that are not found to be defective and/or are outside of the return policy period.

 

How do I return my product?

Please contact Ohio Drone’s sales or customer service department to initiate a return or exchange.  We will issue you a return merchandise authorization (RMA) form to fill out, detailing the reason for your return or exchange.  Upon receiving the completed form, Ohio Drone will issue a prepaid shipping label for you to ship back the product.

 

How is reimbursement issued back to the customer?

The refund is made to the account of the original purchase, and may take up to 14 business days for finalization of the transaction. 

Late or Missing Refunds

If you have not received a refund within the specified timeframe, please check with your bank or credit card company to ensure there are no pending transactions.  It may take additional time with your financial institution before your refund is officially posted and processed.  If you’ve followed all of those steps and have still not received your refund, please contact the sales department of Ohio Drone LLC.

Can I cancel my return?

Non-defective merchandise

If a customer cancels their order they may reverse their cancellation at any time up until restocking of their order has been completed and/or their refund has been processed, whichever occurs first. There will be no charge for reversing order cancellations.

 

Defective merchandise

Prior to return shipment: 

 

The customer reserves the right to cancel any return that is currently being processed by notifying applicable Ohio Drone representatives. Ohio Drone will cancel any return labels and outstanding RMA’s. If the customer does not return a RMA product within 7 days of shipping label generation Ohio Drone will consider the return cancelled and will cancel return shipping labels.

 

After return shipment: 

The customer reserves the right to cancel any return that is currently being processed by notifying applicable Ohio Drone representatives. Ohio Drone will not cover the cost of shipping back to the customer in the event that the customer cancels the return. If you choose to cancel a return, any service warranties that initially came with the aircraft are no longer valid, and OHD reserves the right to not service or repair the vehicle in question, even if the customer changes their mind at a later date.  Only one (1) cancellation request is allowed per return.

 

Important Information:

  • Any shipping upgrades are non-refundable, even if the order was returned or refused upon delivery.

  • International shipping costs are non-refundable.

  • Any free or promotional items that were included with your original purchase must be returned with the original equipment.

  • Ohio Drone products can only ship warranty or return requests to addresses located in the lower contiguous 48 U.S. states.  Alaska, Hawaii, and International shipments are subject to specific restrictions, rules and regulations.

 

No Warranty Credits or Exchanges for:

  • Returned items that failed due to an accident, purchaser’s abuse, neglect or failure to operate in accordance with instructions provided in the owner’s manual(s) supplied.

  • Returned items that failed due to precipitation, excessive humidity, corrosive environments or other contaminants.

  • Any item damaged during shipment or transit.

  • Any product failure caused by installing or operating under conditions not in accordance with installation and operational guidelines or damaged by contact with tools or surroundings.

  • Return items that are incomplete.

  • Any consumable or standard wear items such as disposable battery packs, worn-out and/or broken cables due to repeated usage, or improper disconnection from the device being charged.

  • Returned items with different serial number(s) from what was authorized for return.

  • Return items that were special ordered or custom configured.

  • Freight damaged items.  If your shipment arrives damaged, you must note the damage on the carrier’s delivery record in accordance with the carrier’s policy, save the merchandise in the original box, and packaging it arrived in, and coordinate with us for a carrier inspection of damaged merchandise.

  • Educational STEM kits once opened and in-use are not eligible for refunds, aside from manufacturing defects on OEM items.
     

For any product returned to Ohio Drone for reason(s) other than warranty such as “Buyer’s Remorse”, incorrect configuration ordered, later delivery by carrier, etc.  a 25% processing fee and round-trip shipping costs may be deducted from the credit refund.  All returned items must be in their original box or crating and must include all packing materials, manuals and accessories.  This is due to all returned aircraft being non-usable for sale or resale to any customers/consumers, and must be properly dismantled and reappropriated for other use.
